AFI Policy ChampionsAFI Policy Champions are outstanding policymakers who create substantial impact in increasing access to financial services for the unbanked population. AFI Policy Champions will provide guidance and examples for fellow AFI members and play a leading role in promoting financial inclusion policies in their respective policy area. A number of Champions have been identified and work is ongoing to engage and promote the individuals, through 2010 and beyond. AFI will facilitate Champions participation at global and regional events where they can share their knowledge and experience and equip policy champions with tools to present their regulatory experiences. This knowledge will also be made available to other AFI members. FOCUS ON: Gerald Nyaoma, promoting M-financial services as an AFI policy champion Gerald Arita Nyaoma, Director of Banking, National Payments Systems, External Payments & Reserve Management Department at the Central Bank of Kenya is one of the early engaged AFI Policy Champions.
